If you’re looking for legit Chinese takeout, this is the spot. Everything tastes like classic, authentic Chinese takeout—nothing fancy, just good food, generous portions, and quick service. You come in, grab your food, and you’re out. The lady at the counter is always working hard and is super nice and welcoming. This has become my go-to Chinese takeout spot on Staten Island. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving that classic Chinese takeout experience!

Taste of China on Guyon Avenue used to be one of my favorite Chinese food spots on Staten Island. The food was always flavorful, fresh, and reliable, and I’ve been going there for years. Unfortunately, the quality and cleanliness seem to have gone downhill recently. The biggest issue is sanitation. My family and I were enjoying the orange chicken until we found a long hair attached to the food, which completely ruined the meal. This isn’t the first time either. Employees really need to start wearing hairnets and paying more attention to cleanliness in the kitchen. What also bothered me was seeing an employee spit into a bucket right in front of customers near the register. That’s just unprofessional and unpleasant when people are trying to eat. I’m not writing this to attack a family business because I know they’ve been around a long time and the food itself still has potential. But they seriously need to improve hygiene standards and customer professionalism. If they fix those issues, this place could easily become great again.

The customer service was top notch, the lady at the front desk was super nice and patient! The food came quickly and was definitely of great value.

My new favorite Chinese-American takeout place - has all the standard menu items you'd expect to find at very fair prices. The portions were generous and the shrimp in my dish were large, fresh and plentiful. Food was very tasty. There are a few tables and comfortable chairs for people to wait or to eat the food there. The service was efficient and friendly. They have the sauce packets and fortune cookies on a counter for you to help yourself, I appreciate they don't charge for 'extra' packets like at some places. There's also an ample parking lot.
